Inspirational Reference: When creating Hell Spawn, the Inspiration behind making the game was a mix of Resident Evil Village and Returnal, where it had the tone of Suspense and uneasiness, where and you had that first-person point of view, and also having limited resources, but with hell spawn, had a twist. The goal was to present the player with various challenges that they would need to overcome while unlocking each door, including avoiding turrets and enemies while collecting each card and progressing further in each section of the alien facility. The player had to collect small Cards found scattered around the level. Upon finding the code to unlock them all and to get to the teleporter, the player won the game. This research helped better understand the First-person camera perspective with limited resources that are provided.
